The problem: My iPhone is connected to my computer, but Cydia Impactor is not detecting or recognizing it. Instead, it shows a blank dropdown menu screen.
Is there a solution? Yes!
There are several potential culprits which we will cover shortly.
How to Fix Cydia Impactor Showing Blank
You connected your iPhone to your computer, but for whatever reason, the device is not being recognized by Cydia Impactor. This prevents the actual sideloading of apps from happening.
Solution #1: Make sure iTunes is installed and updated
For Cydia Impactor to work, you would need to have the latest version of iTunes installed on your computer. It does not matter if you have Windows or Mac. Be sure that iTunes is installed and up-to-date.
You can download iTunes from this page if you haven’t already.
Solution #2: Check your Lightning Cable and USB Port
Is your iPhone genuinely connected to your computer? Check for the charging icon on your iPhone screen. If the iPhone seems to be charging, then your device is fully connected. If not, you need to get a new lighting cable. I recommend an MFi-Certified cable.
Solution #3: Download the latest version of Cydia Impactor
Cydia Impactor gets updated from time to time. If you are using an older version of Cydia Impactor, it may not recognize your iPhone even if the device is connected.
