3 Simple Ways to Download Vine Videos to Your iPhone for Offline Viewing

What’s the different between saving a Vine video vs. saving a YouTube video?

It’s the download time. According to an answer on Quora, a study shows that by 2013, the average length of a YouTube video is around 3 minutes and 30 seconds long.

What about Vine videos?

Well, there is no Avg. Length because it’s limited to around 6 seconds. Therefore, it won’t even take you that long to download Vine videos.

With that being said, let’s see how you can get started.

How to Download Vine Videos on your iPhone

Mivezi is a free Cydia tweak that allows you to download Vine videos directly to your iPhone’s Camera Roll.

There is no need for a computer or tangled third-party apps from the App Store. Majd Alfhaily, the guy who developed SaveCloud, is the author and the tweak is now available on his repository.

  1. Launch Cydia > Sources > Edit
  2. Add Alfhaily’s repository at apt.alfhaily.me
  3. Search for Mivezi from there and Install right away

Be sure to have the official Vine application ready as this tweak will be implemented right inside it.

Once Mivezi is installed, open up your Vine app. To save any video to your iOS device, all you have to do is tap on the 3-dot icon on the bottom right-hand corner of every video and choose Save to Camera Roll.

The option is placed along with where you usually Block or report a person if you’ve ever done that. Again, Mivezi is a free tweak that you can use to download as many Vine videos as you want but please don’t get yourself into copyright issues.

Download Vines on the Computer

That was easy right?

If you don’t have a jailbroken device, here is another method just for you.

Go on Vine Downloader and paste the link of specific Vine video you want to download. After that, connect your iPhone into a computer.

Open up iTunes and transfer that video to your iPhone or iPad.

How to Save Vine Videos without Jailbreak

The two methods shown above will either require a jailbroken device or users using their computer. The one we will be using below is an app from the App Store to help you save your favorite Vines.

  1. Open your iPhone or iPad
  2. Go to the App Store and download Video Downloader for Vine or click here
  3. Login using your official Vine account
  4. Tap on a video you want to save
  5. Select the green button that says, “Add To Download” at the bottom of the video player
  6. When done, go to the Downloads section of the app
  7. Tap on the video and choose Save to Camera Roll

And you’re done. Save all those Vine videos before they go straight to the graveyard.
