How to Download Music From SoundCloud to iPhone (No Jailbreak)

SoundCloud is one of those apps that no one talks about anymore. That’s because other music streaming apps like Apple Music and Spotify are dominating the market. Even so, a lot of users are still using SoundCloud to stream music from their favorite artists and discover new ones.

The only downside of taking music apps like SoundCloud on the go is that it can consume a lot of your mobile data. For those of you who have a limited cellular data plan, there are several ways to fix that.

Below, you will be a few apps that can help you download songs from SoundCloud to your iPhone. This way you can listen to your music offline and not worry about going over the data limit.

SoundCloud++

Nowadays, you can’t find a good third-party app from the App Store that allows you to save songs from SoundCloud to your iPhone anymore. That’s why we’re taking a different approach to this problem. SoundCloud++ is a modified version of the official app that you’re using.

Before we start, here are the requirements:

• A computer
• Cydia Impactor (download from here)
• 3 mins of your time

How to Download SoundCloud++ IPA

1. You can obtain the IPA version from here
2. Connect your iPhone to the computer
3. Launch Cydia Impactor
4. Drag and drop SoundCloud++.ipa to Impactor
5. Enter your Apple ID and password

Next, unlock your iPhone, and you should see a new app called SoundCloud. Before you open it, open the Settings app, go to General > Profile or Device Management. Tap on the email address you used earlier (in Step 4) and tap Trust.

Go back to your home screen and open SoundCloud. Noticed how it looks exactly just like the old SoundCloud app that you used to have? Well, it’s pretty much the same thing. The only difference is now you have the “Download” button and a new section on the bottom menu.

To download music from SoundCloud on your iOS device, just pick a song and tap on the 3-dots button on the bottom left-hand corner. You should see an option called Download Track. You can minimize that screen and switch to the Downloads page (next to Search). This page will tell you the current progress of a downloading song.

The Downloads page houses all of your offline tracks on SoundCloud. Just go there and tap on any downloaded songs. It will start playing even if you have no internet connection.

DownCloud

Another SoundCloud downloader app for iPhone that doesn’t require users to jailbreak their device is called DownCloud. I talked about this app before and even showed you a way to install it via the Safari browser. However, the app is still showing “Revoked” as its current status. Which means you’re going to have to sideload it.

Unlike SoundCloud++, this app is very dull when you open it. The interface is not like the official SoundCloud app; you won’t be able to find any suggested songs to listen to. I think some people will like DownCloud because it’s very straightforward.

To get started, you can download the IPA file from this page. Follow the same instructions above (i.e., use Cydia Impactor on your computer to install it). Then, open the app and use the Search page to look for a SoundCloud audio of your choice. There will also be a separate sheet within the app for you to create a Playlist and track all your downloading songs.

SaveCloud

If you have a jailbroken iPhone or iPad, the SaveCloud tweak is a perfect choice. This new jailbreak tweak makes it super easy for iOS users to download songs from their SoundCloud app. Released by developer Majd Alfhaily (@freemanrepo) SaveCloud is now available on his self-hosted Cydia repo for free.

How to Install SaveCloud

1. Launch Cydia > Sources > Edit
2. Enter the following URL: http://apt.alfhaily.me/
3. Once the repo is added, go directly to it and tap on the Tweaks folder
4. Scroll down until you find SaveCloud
5. Tap Install and Respring

Once installed, this tweak will be integrated directly into your stock SoundCloud app. This way you don’t have to go anywhere or switch between applications.
