How To Add Another Profile On Plants Vs Zombies 2

I’ll admit that I hadn’t played plants versus zombies 2 in awhile.  But, I’m one of those people who likes to come back to a game and play it again.

The last time I had played PVZ2 there were 5 profiles on the app.  2 for me, 2 for my son and 1 for hubby.  Yes, we all share an apple ID.

When I logged back into Plants Vs Zombies after my year long hiatis I was asked if I was one of the players or a new player.  So, I easily added a sixth profile to the game!  Boom.  Easy peasy.

How to create a second plants vs zombies 2 account

Well, since you are here (and I found myself needing this information) you know this is not the end of the story.

Since I was playing so much and clearly enjoying my zombie slaying, my son decided he wanted to play on a new adventure as well.  I grabbed his iPad and tried to add another profile…Except for some reason I now couldn’t add another profile for some reason…hmmm.

I deleted the app and tried to reinstall it.  Again, no option to add another profile to our account.  My new profile was showing as well as all of our previous accounts.  This just made no sense!  I JUST created a new plants vs zombies profile 2 weeks ago and was able to do it with no problem.

Fast forward a little bit and quite a few Google searches later, I found my problem.

In one of the latest updates to Plants Vs Zombies EA made is to that you could no longer add multiple profiles.  Why would they do that?  It makes absolutely no sense if you ask me.

I had a brilliant idea (THIS IS NOT THE ANSWER SO DON’T DO IT!) to just delete all of the profiles on my sons iPad and then start a new adventure for him.  This worked and he went from 6 profiles on his iPad to 1 new one for himself.

The next day I went to login on my phone and realized the only profile was my sons new one.  My heart sunk (ok, I know a little dramatic for a game).  I went to my iPad and was devastated to realize my new profile was GONE.  Apparently, the game syncs across all devices so if you delete on one, you delete on all.

The Solution For Adding A New Plants Vs Zombies 2 Account

Luckily, I was able to find a way to add a new profile to the game.  It doesn’t save me those weeks of play time I had, but at least we can each have our own adventure again.

Step 1: The first thing to do is delete Plants Vs Zombies from your device.  I know, this probably seems like a bad idea, but it did work.

Step 2: Next log out of game center.

Step 3: Download Plants Vs Zombies 2 from the app store again.  Do not open it at this point.

Step 4: Put your device on airplane mode and turn off the Wi-Fi.

Step 5: Open Plants Vs. Zombies 2, tell them your age and then name your new profile 🙂

Step 6: Turn the Wi-Fi back on and turn airplane mode off.

Step 7: Do a hard close on the game and reopen it.  You should now see your NEW profile AND your other profiles!

You Now Have A New Profile On PVZ2

Once you have done these 7 steps you will now have a new profile that can start the adventure over from scratch.

  1. What is a hard close (step 7)? I just closed the app and reopen it (by also ‘deleting’ the game from the place where you get there when you tap 2 times on the home button). When i opened it (with wifi on like you said), it said that I need to log in on my game centre. I just tapped to write email but it dissapeared. And now the game says: identify conflict. PVZ2 tries to let me login into my old PVZ2 account.. What should I do now?

    • A hard close happens if you press the close button twice. Once you have found pvz2, swipe it up. To delete, go to the icon for the game and hold on it. After about a second, you should see a delete button. If you see “remove” press that and then press delete. Hope this helped you 🙂

  2. Thanks a lot!

My youngest daughter deleted her PvZ2 profile on my iPad and I’m left with the profile of my eldest.

I double-checked and I’m not logged into Game Center on this iPad.

Doesn’t this mean that if I delete the app, I’ll lose the remaining PvZ2 profile too?

In other words, in my specific situation, shouldn’t I log into Game Center to sync my eldest daughter’s profile before deleting the app?

    Looking forward to your response!

  3. dude ur step is all wrong, you need to know first pvz2 on the playstore they only gave you a fresh apk without the data (obb) to get the obb you need active internet when you first time open the apk. if you turn off the internet and turn on airplane mode, basically the game will kick you out. and said there are no active internet. do a research first before telling lies to others.

    • You Dingus, this dude has listed the steps for iOS devices. Android uses obb files but iOS does not. Do your research first before defaming others.

  4. This is so dumb. If you turn off your wifi you can’t make a new profile because it wouldn’t be able to save it. And if you leave your wifi on it says “identity conflict”
