How to Jailbreak iOS 9.3.3 Using PG Client without App Store (IPA)

After many incidents, the PP/Pangu Jailbreak for iOS 9.3.2 and 9.3.3 still manage its way into the user’s hand.

Recently, someone discovered that Apple has accidentally approved an app called PG Client that lets you jailbreak your iOS device. This isn’t the first time that an accident like this happens.

But it is actually the first time that a jailbreak app could slip into the App Store so easily.

I have tried it out and can confirm that the PG Client is the Chinese version of Pangu PP jailbreak.

Without further ado, here is you can do the same…while it last.

Huh? A Simple Dribbble Client

  1. First, go to the App Store
  2. Tap on the Search option and type in PG Client — a better client for dribbble
  3. Wait for the app to install and then open it
  4. Perform the Jailbreak by tapping on the screen. It will take about 20 seconds.
  5. After that, lock your iPhone or iPad, and wait for a notification
  6. Swipe right onto the PP Jailbreak notification and your device will reboot

And you’re done with the whole process. The last thing you want to do is launch Cydia so it can reload all the sources.

If you still hesitate in using the PG Client app, do it now before Apple take it down.

The Real Method

Yup, the app is no longer available in the App Store. But don’t worry, there is a workaround.

I uploaded the IPA version of the PG Client app here. You can download it and read this tutorial to sideload it into your iPhone or iPad.

Stuck in a Spinning Wheel

Damn, I’m sorry to hear that. I used this app for two devices. While the first one went smoothly, my second iPhone doesn’t work as expected.

All I see on the screen was an infinite spinning circle. If this happens to you, don’t give up. It will take awhile and eventually move on to the next step.

The key to fixing this issue is patient. If you can’t do that, launch App Switcher and kill the app then start over.

Jailbreak using Pangu on Windows

  1. Download the official PP/Pangu Jailbreak
  2. Right click on the .exe and click Run as administrator
  3. When prompted for confirmation, just click Run Anyway or Yes
  4. Click the button on the screen to start downloading the jailbreak
  5. When done, there is now a new software your on computer. Now connect your iOS device to the computer
  6. Wait until your device is recognized then click on the green button to start
  7. After that, it will ask for your Apple ID
  8. The PP/Pangu app should be installed on your home screen
  9. Follow this instruction to trust the app
  10. Go back and tap on the PP/Pangu app and allow notification
  11. Again, this will be similar to the method above. Lock your device and wait for the notification
  12. Unlock it with the notification app and Cydia is installing

Finally, the iPhone reboots and you’ve successfully jailbreak your iOS 9.2 – 9.3.3 using the PP/Pangu tool.

How to Unjailbreak iOS 9.3.3 Using Cydia Eraser

The fact that this jailbreak is semi-untethered put me in a bad situation sometimes. I know this might be why you guys want to remove the jailbreak in iOS 9.3.3 as well.

Cydia Eraser, a tweak released by Saurik will allow you to unjailbreak your device.

But what’s so cool about this tool?

You don’t have to use a computer which involves iTunes or upgrades to a newer firmware. The second point is crucial as iOS 9.3.4 has already patched the jailbreak vulnerability.

If later on, Pangu decided to release an untethered jailbreak for iOS 9.3.3, you can always use it since your firmware has not changed.

Without further ado, I’m going to show you how to do it.

  1. Let’s start by launching the Cydia app
  2. Using the Search tab, look for Cydia Eraser
  3. Tap Install > Confirm > and Respring

After that, there is now a new app on your home screen. Open up Cydia Eraser and let it do all the work for you.

That’s another reason why I prefer this tweak over others: quick automation.

Do know that this package will remove everything from your device. If you have something important in there, be sure to make a backup.

Once your iPhone or iPad reboots, set it up as it was brand new. You know, go through the language picker, setting up the Wi-Fi network, etc.

  1. Thanks for the IPA!

I have downloaded it and loaded it with Cydia Impactor and my Apple ID and password.

However the application “PG Client” does not start! I tap it and it closes immediately.

I am on an iPhone 5s.

    Can you please help me?
