How to Skip Hulu Ads on Your iPhone (2 Easy Ways)

I guess it’s safe to assume that no introduction is needed for Hulu. If you came to this post, then you must know what the app is about.

For those of you who don’t, here’s a quick intro.

Hulu is a video streaming service that offers premium television shows and popular video contents for a low-cost monthly basis. They also recently rolled out a new service called “Hulu with Live TV.” This program allows you to watch live TV on your iOS device for $39.99 a month.

Hulu Pricing

Let’s talk about pricing. Hulu is no longer free. Let’s get that out of the way first. Their subscription model is relatively straightforward. The base subscription starts at $5.99 a month (for a year) and then $7.99. While you have to spend money out of your pocket for a streaming service, Hulu still make its customer watch their commercials just like a regular TV channel.

For those of you who hate Hulu ads on the iPhone and wish to watch their favorite shows without interruption, you’ve come to the right place. In this tutorial, I’ll show you two easy ways to get rid of commercials on Hulu.

Huu for Hulu

Huu is a free jailbreak tweak that enhances the official Hulu app. It does two things, disable jailbreak detection in Hulu and lets you scrub through advertisements whenever you watch a Hulu show or video. Since this is a Cydia tweak, you need to have a jailbroken iPhone or iPad to install it.

For those of you have already done so, you can install Huu for Hulu from the BigBoss repo. Once installed, open the Settings app > Huu > enable “No Jailbreak Check.”

Note: We only recommend using this option if you’re a student or individual with no money to purchase the Feature Add-on.

Hulu with No Commercials

If you wish not to jailbreak your iOS device or you can’t, there is another way for you to skip ads in Hulu. That’s upgrading to their Feature Add-on called No Commercials. When subscribing to Hulu, you have the option to add the Hulu Commercial-Free option for an extra $4 a month.

You can learn more about that programing by clicking here.

Maybe the second option is not the best thing in the world, but at least you can finally get rid of the annoying ads on Hulu.
