The thing with server sided games is that they usually force players to get the latest update.
If you ever played Clash of Clans or Clash Royale before, you will know what I’m talking about. Whenever Supercell releases an update to their games, users will be prompted with a popup.
Same thing with Niantic and specifically Pokemon Go.
Forcing players to update their game is a great way for game developers to reduce the amount of cheating. In this case, there are tons of hacks and mods out there for Pokemon Go.
Someone recently saw a message that says
A new version of Pokemon GO is available. Would you like to update now?
…and they asked me whether it’s possible to bypass update requirement in Pokemon Go or not. And sadly, the answer is NO. If this wasn’t a multiplayer/online game, then no problem.
My experiments
There are two things I did before making this post. First I tried to change the app’s version via iFile. You can learn more about it from here.
Unfortunately, it didn’t work. So I had to switch over to App Admin. This tweak is more efficient but still didn’t work out as expected.
So I came to the conclusion that in order to continue playing Pokemon Go, you will have to update it. Now, if you’re worried about some hacks you got not working. Don’t worry; Poke Go++ is still functioning fine for me.
I’m sure after a few days, there will be an update to the hack that you’re using as well.
I selected update now and it sends me to TestFlight… I downloaded TestFlight but it asks for a redemption code which in supposed to (apparently) received …????

That didn’t happen to me. Delete the app entirely and reinstall it with the newest version.

When i go to tutuapp.com and click the green button, it starts to install but keeps popping a that is unable to install please try again, what does that mean
Open the App Store app, select Updates, and then update Pokemon Go. TestFlight is not needed. No need to delete the game.
My Pokemon Go is completely up to date. I’m still getting the Update to Continue message when I install the Hack using Cydia Impactor and It’s unable to install when I try to install the Hack using tutu. Any ideas?
Same with me. To be honest, there’s no point in playing this game without the hack. There are a lot of places where pokemon are (by viewing them on a pokemon radar app) that I can’t get to. Either it’s not a safe area or I don’t know the area. Anyone know of a working iOS Pokemon Go hack?
These hacks defeat the purpose of the game…so frustrating to those of us who play as the game is intended to be played. If the pokemon is somewhere you can’t get to….then wait until you see that pokemon again somewhere that it is accessible! SMH….
It (the Pokemon GO app) kept telling me I had to update the app in order to continue but when it re-directed me to the app store, there was no new update available (just the option to re-open Pokemon GO). So, I deleted and re-installed the app and it’s working great now.
Hey man, I can’t sign in as it says “A new version of Pokemon go is available. Would you like to update it now? (4) ” and just takes me to the Itunes store.
I am using a mod apk of pokemon go so I can’t update it so how to skip it please tell
